The term aṣṭakam comes from the Saṅskṛt word aṣṭā, meaning “eight”. Aṣṭakams are Saṅskṛt prayers composed of eight verses, glorifying the various deities to which they are dedicated.

In this course, you will learn how to sing the most commonly used aṣṭakams in Bhakti Marga; the Mahā-Lakṣmī-aṣṭakam, Liṅgāṣṭakam, and Bhavānī-aṣṭakam.
